I live in Blue Springs, Missouri, just East of Kansas City. I have been married to Michael for 31 years. We have three handsome sons, Benjamin Grant, 17, Reuben Levi, 14, and Caleb Andrew, 13. Besides genealogy research (my kids say I like dead people better than live ones), I love to paint and draw, do all types of needlework, knit and crochet, and I have designed and made wedding gowns and brides-maid's dresses. Guess you could say I'm really a "crafty" lady (slight play on maiden-name).

I have been working on my family's genealogy for a little over three years now and have over 6000 names in my files. I am interested in exchanging information with anyone who has any information on the names I am working on. So please feel free to e-mail me if you find a common ancestor. There are a few mystery lines that I have not gotten very far with, but I keep trying

Mother carefully made beautiful "Grandmother's Flower Garden" quilts for each of her 5 children. she loved doing embroidery and feather- stitching. She also made each a woolen "Crazy Quilt" for each of us, as well as many baby quilts for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Shortly before she died, she made a special quilt for Daddy.
Mother was a Registered Nurse for 36 years with the same hospital. She took her training at the old Southwest Osteopathic Sanitarium, that was on the corner of and Douglas. When it became the "Osteopathic Hospital" it was moved to the corner of Clifton & Douglas, In an old three story house, which was later expanded to the west. When it out-grew that facility, the present hospital known as Riverside Hospital was built just west of the Arkansas River on Mclaine Blvd. She served as Night Supervisor for many years. Daddy always said that they both got their "RN" on the same day, because they were married when she went to Topeka, KS to take her State Board examination.
She and her twin sister, Elizabeth Ann Ward Daniels were adopted in infancy by Emmett and Molly Ward when their birth-mother died from complications from having twins (Mother nearly died from the same thing when her twins were born). Their biological parents were William Farris & Hattie Park. Other biological siblings were brothers, Marine and Thomas, and sister, Edith. The family has a book of the genealogy of that family. They were from Cambridge, KS.
