Nancy Rushing. This is not supported by census data. Census data would support
her being the daughter of John L. Rushing (b. c1849) and Susannah Bussell.

(above from the notes of David Donahue 1994)

[NI1987] Rachel was the daughter of Ann Davis and William Larkin Bentley.

[NI2008] William Rushing appears as William E. Rushing on the 1880 TN, Decatur County Federal Census.[sic] Placement in this family is circumstantial based on family oral tradition of the names and locations from the 1880 Census. William E. Rushing and William Richard "Will" Rushing's siblings have the same names and birth dates in Decatur County, TN. The same children and ages as the sons of Richard Burrell Rushing. With the following exception Williams middle name could be E from the 1880 census, F from his fathers will or Richard from the descendant's remembrances.

Friendship Cemetery is inside the boundary of the Milan Arsenal, you must contact the arsenal to visit there.

Richard A. and Pam Jarvis Rushing of Milan, Tennessee did the work on the descendants of this William Rushing.

Lacy, Lillian Rushing

Services for Mrs. Lillian Rushing Lacy, 80, were at Camp Ground Presbyterian Church and cemetery Saturday afternoon. She died Friday of a heart attack at the Jackson-Madison County Hospital. She was the widow of H. G. Lacy, a farmer of the Garrett community in Decatur County. She was a Presbyterian. She leaves two sons, Rube Lacy and Lewis Lacy and two daughters, Mrs. George Brasher and Mrs. Phelia Wright, all of Decaturville.

[NI2046] David L. Donahue, the frequently noted genealogy researcher, is a descendant of William Garrett Moore and Sophie Ann Rushing. Interestingly these descendants can trace Thier lineage in three separate Rushing descendent down lines.
