[NI4259] Lucinda Rushing was the daughter of Peter Rushing who was in Bedford Co., TN in 1820 and in Calloway Co., KY, in 1840. Most of this family moved to the area around Ozark, Illinois.
[NI4278] This Willis Rushing is age 20-30 in the 1840 census and seems to have a wife and one son under 5. He died befor 1846 and Abraham Rushing received letters of administration of his estate which made provisions for his widow and family. He had a daughter Eliza A. Rushing (Elizabeth Crosswell was appointer her guardian).
[NI4313] Francis W. Millard F. Rushing is the way his name appears in David L. Donahue's original file but all of the data submitted to this writer have had his name Francis W. I have not viewed the Census data cited, kinships agree fully.

LYTLE spelling begins to appear in TN 1850's and eventually prevails. Spelled LITLE in 1834 bible and other early TN documents. Spelling is LITTLE and LITLE in a NC Court Document dated 1809.
It should be noted here that JAMES LITLE died in NC prior to 1808 and Elizabeth married WILLIAM DEASON. She then moved, with her four Litle/Lytle children and other Rushing and Deason families, to Tennessee.
