Mary Jane was her sister. Mary Jane married William Jones of Georgia (Liberty of McIntosh
County). Amarintha was my great, great grandmother on my grandfather's side (he was Robert Perrin Burton, son of John Robarts Burton.
Strangely enough, Mary Jane was my great, great grandmother on my grandmother's side. Her
daughter Rosa Jane Jones married by great grandfather, Benjamin Smith Screven. My grandmother Rosalie was a child of that marriage.

John R. Rushing seems to have had no children, or at least no children surviving to adulthood. Susan Knight Gore of Memphis, Tennessee, writes "Humphreys County, TN - County Court Minutes 13/74, 13/318-319, 323-325 Feb. Term 1899. J. R. Rushing died before 9 Feb 1899 as shown in the case of R. B.

Rushing a minor and heir at law of the said Hardy Rushing deceased as mentioned in the petition when the answer of the said Daivd Rushing and Robert C. Rushing as to is unexcepted to It is ordered by the court that they be made parties & C and that William M. McAuley be appointed Guardian ad litem, for the said Robert C. Rushing & C and it appearing satisfactory to the Court that is would be more to the advantages of the several heirs and claimants to the said land mentioned in the pleadings to have the said land sold for distribution and it would be to the interest of all the parties mentioned in the Petition and
plea to have the same sold to the highest bidder upon a reasonable It is therefore further ordered and decreed by the courts that the aforesaid alnd mentioned and entered in the Petition be sold to the highest bidder after being advertised twenty days at four public places in said County one at
the Court house door of said County and one in the district in which said land lies upon a the purchaser giving hand and security for the payment of the purchase money except the costs & charges &C which shall be paid in hand by the purchaser and deducted from his bid and paid to the Clerk and

Wynn versus Barbara Rushing et al. J. R. Rushing died some four or five years ago leaving a widow who has since died and heirs, Barbara Rushing, Mary Nichols, R. B. Wynn by purchase and Ruthy Lee Camp. The last name is a minor and only child of deceased neice Octavia camp. Barbara Rushing and Mary Nichols are to get one-third each, R. B. Wynn one-fourth and Ruthy Camp one-twelvth. "Humphreys County, TN - County Court Minutes 13/323-325. Another entry shows the widow was Mary J. Rushing. Mary Nichols, Barbara Rushing, O. L. Rushing, N. J. Davidson wife of J. M. Davidson and Octavia Camp were the only heirs. Mary Nichols and Barbara Rushing were sisters of J. R. Rushing, deceased, and the rest were children of a deceased brother, Wm. Rushing. Octavia has since died and her only child is Ruthy Lee Camp. Marg G. and O. L. Rushing and N. J. Davidson sold their interest to R. B. Wynn."

Rue Rushing is placed as a brother of Nathan D. Rushing based on the migration times of the two families from Kentucky to Arkansas in About 1845 for Nathan and about 1850 for Rue. Additionally they are both in Trigg County, KY, then together again in Monroe County, Arkansas and separate from the other Rushings who were born in Arkansas.

married Judy Aronson..There are two children, Joshua and Jeanne Pendleton.
Glad my information re Bessie Sadler-William Rushing is useful. Bessie was
born in Oak Ridge, Mo. Father was Labe Sadler, born 1834 in Missouri. Mother
was mardy D'Arbonville, born 1852 in Canada. William Rushing born in
Illinois, Murphysboro I think. Marcella and Robert Rushing born also in
Murphysboro. Marcella's husband born Garner Pendleton in San Francisco. Son
Stephen born also San Francisco. His son Joshua, daughter Jeanne, wife Judy
(Aronson) born Wasco, Ca.
