He was born about 1832, Tennessee and died in the Civil War.
He was the son of John Sanders and Abbey Robins who married in 1811, Franklin Co., Georgia.
Josiah was a grandson of Rev. Moses Sanders (ca 1742-).
His uncle is said to be the David Sanders (1775-1815), who married Mary Allred (1783-1820), in 1802, Franklin Co., Georgia. Mary is said to be the daughter of William Allred (ca 1750-) and Elizabeth Thrasher.
