My name is Derek J. White, however, my birth name is/was Fred Carl
Rushing.
My great-grandfather was Joseph Warren Rushing, my grandfather was Nathan Rushing, they moved to Booneville, Arkansas around the early 1900's and settled south of there. He (my great-grandfather) married twice, the second wife was a native american, I believe her name was Highly Christian Dillard, they had 10 children, and he had 10 by his first wife who died, for a total of 20 children. My father's name is Warren Harvey Rushing and he married Alice Diane Ransom (daughter of Carl Orlando
Ransom and Helen Dorothy Cowles, from Bakersfield, CA - where many Rushing's still live, around Bakersfield, Tupman, and Taft, CA.). They (my parents) had six children, Alice Jolene, Joseph Warren, Donald Charles, Della Diane, Fred Carl, and Polly Ann Rushing, all born in Bakersfield, CA. My parents divorced and Dad re-married, to Joyce Ann Fisher (from Mississippi), they had 2 daughters, Louella Bee and Teka Dee Rushing, both born in Paris, Arkansas.
My father's siblings are Mrs. Pauline Best (Rosedale, CA), Albert Rushing (Lavaca, AR), Bill Rushing (Tupman, CA), Doyle Rushing (Junction City, KS), and my father has many first cousins living around Kansas City, KS/MO. I hope this helps any, if you have any questions, please ask.
Sincerely yours,
Derek
