thank you for replying.I have a George Whitfield Rushing who married a Harriet Ann Henry. He was born in August 1848 and died 1925 in Texas. She was born in 1851 in Kauffman County, Texas. They had the following children: Mary Temperance Rushing born 1871; Mattie G. Rushing in 1873; Clara B. Rushing ;Ella M. Rushing; Gemmie Rushing ; Clementine Rushing, and Henry A. Rushing. Mary Temperance Rushing married Caleb John Wright in Weatherford , Parker County, Texas on September 1,1887. On
later census records some show him as C.J. Wright and her as Tempe Wright in Olney, Young County, Texas. That is where they moved to in the early 1900's. So far I have found out that they had a Henry E. Wright who married an Elaine (Elsie) M. Reed and these are my husbands grandparents. Hope this helps someone.

Mary Ella Rushing "Ella" was the daughter of Sam Rushing and Mary Robbins. Ella was b. Dec. 24, 1876 and died Aug 13, 1943. She is buried in Kilbourne, LA Her son by Charles Newton Irby, Charles Lanoir Irby, is the father of my cousin, JoAnn Irby Hughes, for whom I'm doing some genealogy research.

So, I think the name was "Ella" rather than "Emma".

All clues appreciated and will reciprocate. Thanks
