Subject: Monroe Pleasant Rushing
I noticed that someone was asking about Monroe Pleasant Rushing.
He was my great grandfather. His wife's maiden name is "Georgia" Peavey.
They had about 15 children. One died in infancy and another was "hit by
a train" very young. There were two sets of twins. Some of their
children are:
Walter Leon Rushing (my grandfather--He married Ida Belle Lewis--They had
12 children--They lived in White Castle, LA Iberville parish)
Otto Rushing
Sally R. Billings
Artie R. Barbier
William Benjamin "B" Rushing
Vernon Rushing
Stella R. Martin (oldest child)
Thelma R. Landry
Judd Rushing
My father is Carl Dudley Rushing (age 70). This information comes from
him. These are the names he could recall. Of my father's generation 7
children of the 12 are still living.
Hope this helps the person looking for Monroe Rushing.
There is a Peavey family reunion for July 7, 2007 (?) at Midway Baptist
Church in Satsuma, La.
